I recently happened upon the article, "Why Jews Don’t Believe in Jesus" by Rabbi Shraga Simmons. I've heard the statement a number of times but gave it no real thought since I figured,

"Jews don't believe in Jesus because they choose not to."

simple as that (personal choice is a powerful thing). But this time, I discovered Jews actually needed to be told by a Rabbi as to,

"why they don't believe in Jesus"

as I read the article and a few of the related comments, amazingly, the Jewish *commenters consistently stated,

"Wow...thanks for the information,
this helps me to better understand
why we don't believe in Jesus."

"This is good information to have since
"This is good information to have since
there are alot of Christian missonaries and
it's good to know how to respond to them."
and,
"Thanks, I never knew this."
*Unremarkably, the comments have since been removed from the articles' viewing. Why? Well.. imagine the world reading,
JEWS DON'T KNOW WHY THEY DON'T BELIEVE IN JESUS!

Honestly, I don't mean to be facetious, but it would be funny if it weren't so serious, since knowing Messiah is eternally vital for Jews and Gentiles. As I read the article I made notes in rebuttal for my own consideration. My rebuttal notes sat until a week later when I posted,

"Jesus Christ is Lord (Messiah)"
at a Messianic Newsite and a Jewish woman replied in all caps,

"FOR 2, 000 YEARS, JEWS HAVE REJECTED THE CHRISTIAN IDEA OF JESUS AS MESSIAH. WHY?"
and she refers me to Rabbi Simmons' article "Why Don't Jews Believe in Jesus." Thus, this blog post was born!

The Torah-Tanakh is God's inerrant Word. Talmud is man's imperfect word. Jews are consistently described as "blind" by Christians per scriptures such as Isaiah 6:8-10

And He said: 'Go, and tell this people: hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not. Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes; lest they, seeing with their eyes, and hearing with their ears, and understanding with their heart, return, and be healed.' Isaiah 6:8-10

Christians don't realize we were equally blinded too! Like Jews, we didn't diligently study the Bible, our Gentile rabbis: pastors, priests and teachers, say their teachings and traditions are true so we goosepimply read them and merely skim over the Bible to wherever it seems to support their truth - our forefathers did likewise to. Contradictions to our religion are "interpreted" away and our Gentile rabbi's pull rank on the too probing and scripturally questioning. Since we don't diligently research doctrinal origins naturally we to strayed as "blind leading blind" and deaf unto the truth.

When one finally dismiss the pervasive doctrines and sincerely reads the definitive word of God: Tanakh "As Is" then, for Jews, not only is Yeshua HaMochiach revealed, but so are His eternal Saturday Sabbaths, Festivals, Mezuza's, Mikvahs and biblical Kashrut laws to Gentiles.
